Doing Business in the U.S. – Sales Tax Update and State Mandates

If you are selling products and/or services into the U.S., are you confident that you are collecting and remitting the correct sales tax on those sales? The U.S. Supreme Court landmark S. Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. ruling nearly two years ago has caused 48 out of the 50 states to enact economic nexus thresholds for “remote sellers,” which means any foreign or domestic seller of goods and/or services into the U.S. must be aware of these thresholds and understand their potential sales tax obligations.

In this recording of a webinar that we presented live on Thursday, February 11, 2021, learn from two of our sales tax experts, partners Tom Mazurek and Andy Toth, what the current filing requirements are and how to avoid potential liabilities, including which states are performing audits the most and pursuing owed taxes.
