Mark A. Ferm, CPA, partner with Tronconi Segarra & Associates LLP, has been selected to receive the Hedwig “De” Moss Leadership Award at the annual Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County “FORE the Children” Golf Tournament on Monday, July 29th.
The award is named after the wife of the late Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County founder, Bob Moss, who passed away suddenly in 2010. It is presented to an individual who has exemplified leadership while serving Big Brothers Big Sisters through his or her efforts at raising awareness of the organization, assisting in fundraising, and making a commitment of time and energy for the benefit of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Mark recently completed a three-year term on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors. During that time, he chaired numerous committees including the Audit & Finance Committee and the annual Gala Committee. He also participated in the many fundraising events held by the organization each year including the golf tournament, bowling events and the Gala. Mark will be the third recipient to receive this honor.
Mark has been an Accounting & Auditing partner with Tronconi Segarra & Associates since 2006. He developed the Firm’s corporate governance practice and helped grow the mergers & acquisitions practice through expertise he gained earlier in his career while at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Mark is a sought-after speaker for many area groups on topics such as risk management, fraud and how to successfully prepare to sell a business.
